Black Rose Ball

Concert: Friday 1 September 2017

The Hospitium, Museum Gardens, York

We are delighted to present a very special dark romantic concert in the intimate setting of The Hospitium, a beautiful 14th century hall within Museum Gardens, York. There will be live music from:

Kirk Brandon

Kirk Brandon aKoustiK: solo acoustic show of the legendary singer-songwriter and leader of the post-punk new-wave bands Theatre of Hate and Spear of Destiny. Kirk has built an excellent reputation as a performer over a career spanning nearly fourty years. We are delighted to present a rare chance to experience the legend up-close and personal.

Irfan

Irfan: neo-folk / medieval / eastern fusion from Bulgaria. Highly recommended for fans of Dead Can Dance, Ataraxia, etc. This band have built a loyal following with their unique sound and powerful, hypnotic performances. They have become a staple at major international festivals, including Castlefest and Wave Gotik Treffen, where they headlined a stage last year, so we are thrilled to be hosting their UK début.

Seventh Harmonic

Seventh Harmonic: neo-classical ensemble from London. This band creates powerful dark romantic epics with beautiful vocals and a complex mixture of influences. Over the years they have worked with an impressive list of guest contributors and have gained widespread critical aclaim for both their recorded works and live performances.

Doors open 7pm, first band 7:30pm. The live music will be followed by a Deviation clubnight until midnight with DJ Hamsterboy.

Please note that there are no card facilities in the venue so please ensure that you bring sufficient cash with you.

Due to the nature of the building we would be grateful if guests with mobility issues could email us in advance to allow us to make any necessary arrangements.
